In a groundbreaking study, researchers explored the effects of yoga exercise intervention on the comprehensive well-being of female college students. The study aimed to uncover the relationship between yoga practice and the enhancement of students’ mental and emotional health.
To conduct the study, 92 female college students participated and underwent various research methods, including yoga exercise intervention, questionnaire surveys, qualitative analysis, expert interviews, and statistical analysis. The researchers employed the “Comprehensive Well-being Scale” to analyze the impact of yoga on the participants’ overall well-being.
The results were remarkable. Among the nine dimensions of comprehensive well-being, significant improvements were observed in three dimensions of subjective well-being and two dimensions of psychological well-being, specifically health concern and personality growth. Additionally, four other dimensions of psychological well-being also showed significant enhancement.
The findings revealed that yoga meditation played a prominent role in improving life satisfaction within students’ subjective well-being. On the other hand, partner yoga posture practice helped establish a stable pattern of altruistic behavior.
This study highlights the effectiveness of yoga exercise intervention as a counseling method for mental health education among female college students. It is now evident that yoga can significantly improve their comprehensive well-being, promoting a positive and balanced state of mind.
These findings offer valuable insights into the potential of yoga as a holistic approach to nurturing mental and emotional health, paving the way for further research and implementation in educational institutions and beyond.
