Stay Fit Without the Gym: Americans Find Creative Ways to Exercise.

A recent survey of 2,000 U.S. adults reveals that six in ten Americans believe they can stay fit without ever stepping foot in a gym. On average, people consider themselves active five days a week and exercise four times. Surprisingly, 54% of respondents said they never go to the gym.

Instead of traditional gym workouts, people are finding alternative ways to stay active. A whopping 98% believe everyday tasks can provide a solid workout. These activities include walking around the neighborhood (74%), taking the stairs (60%), doing yard work (59%), cleaning the house (59%), walking the dog (56%), and even bringing groceries into the house (42%).

The survey, commissioned by Nature’s Bounty and conducted by OnePoll, also found that 70% of participants feel healthy. Additionally, 17% reported feeling ten years younger, and 10% felt like superheroes or professional athletes. Almost half (48%) reflect on their past week’s physical activities over the weekend, with 70% impressed by their activity levels.

Most notably, 87% believe they could achieve new physical feats with just a 10% improvement in their abilities. “Our bodies have an innate ability to support overall health,” said Jaclyn Safrath from Nestlé Health Science. The study also highlighted the impact of diet, with 90% believing digestive health affects their physicality and immune system.

Staying fit has never been more accessible, as Americans harness the power of everyday activities to stay healthy and active!
