Yoga and Mediterranean Diet Boost Older Adults’ Health.

A new study has shown that combining yoga with a Mediterranean diet can work wonders for older adults. In a 12-week randomized controlled clinical trial by researchers from the University of Atlántico Medio in Spain, 116 seniors split into two groups. One group of 57 seniors followed the yoga and diet program, while the other 59 did not.

Results were nothing short of amazing! Those who joined the program saw big improvements in their balance and walking ability, Their flexibility skyrocketed, too, with notable gains in both arms and legs. Right arm flexibility improved and muscle strength also got a boost, with grip strength and lower body strength showing significant increases.

The study proves that just 12 weeks of yoga and eating Mediterranean-style can really improve the health of older adults, from their nutritional status to their physical capabilities. It’s a powerful, natural way to stay fit and balanced without needing any medicine.
